Complaints

Privacy and Data Protection Policy

In order that it can accept, hold and process information on individuals who approach it with a view to accessing finance from the funds under its management, Ascendant Ventures is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

In relation to any data held by it in relation to an individual, Ascendant Ventures will:-

  • Use the data collected only for the specific purposes for which it was collected;
  • Permit the individual access to the information about them held by Ascendant Ventures subject to certain exceptions (such as information held for the prevention or detection of crime);
  • Retain personal information only for as long as necessary in the context of pending or actual contractual obligations between the individual and the funds managed by Ascendant Ventures;
  • Give each individual the opportunity to update any information held by Ascendant Ventures;
  • Maintain technical and organisational security measures to ensure appropriate safe keeping.

In relation to any data held by it in relation to an individual, Ascendant Ventures will not:-

  • Disclose any data collected by it to any other party without the consent of the individual concerned unless required  by legislation or other overriding reasons (such as the prevention or detection of crime);
  • Send information outside the European Economic Area unless the individual concerned has consented or adequate protection is in place.

Record Retention and Archiving Policy

Records are kept by Ascendant Ventures in accordance with its record retention and archiving policies.  Information is held securely on site in a variety of physical, digital and electronic data storage media.  Records are retained for seven years after the last date on which the funds managed by Ascendant Ventures have commercial dealings with the individual or business concerned, at which point the records are securely destroyed.
