Ascendant Ventures is the fund manager of the following funds:

Finance for Business, part of the South West Loans Fund – £12 million
Providing growing small- and medium-sized enterprises throughout South West England loan finance of between £50,000 and £250,000.  The South West Loans Fund is funded by South West RDA and by the European Regional Development Fund through the Convergence Programme for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and the Competitiveness and Employment Programme for South West England.

Finance Cornwall - £18 million
Providing structured finance solutions to small- and medium-sized enterprises in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly as part of the Objective One Programme as a combination of small loans, mezzanine loans and equity finance.  Finance Cornwall is currently closed for new applications.  The fund invested £18 million in 135 businesses and leveraged a further £39 million into the local economy of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly between 2002 and 2008.  The fund safeguarded over 2,000 jobs and created over 500 more.  Finance Cornwall was funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Barclays Bank PLC and Cornwall Council.

Finance South West - £15 million
Providing structured finance solutions to small- and medium-sized enterprises in South West England as part of the Objective Two Programme as a combination of small loans, mezzanine loans and equity finance.  Finance South West is currently closed for new applications.  The fund invested £15 million in 107 businesses and leveraged a further £30 million into the South West economy.  The fund safeguarded over 600 jobs and created over 250 more.  Finance South West was funded by  by the European Regional Development Fund and Barclays Bank PLC.
